My mate has a TX3 Turbo Laser and the turbo has siezed. We took it off last night and (finally) got the compressor housing off to find that it had freed up a little but only turns about 270 degrees. We figure its stuffed anyway so how to get it apart the work out whats stopping it turning. Undid all the bolts but cant get the core our of the exhaust housing, are they pressed in or what?
Also what dod they do when they rebiult turbos and why cant the average joe do it. Special tools, machining etc????
