The 1600 that i have actually has lowered king spring in the front out of a
KH-KF laser. The mob that did the job said (to the previous owner) that
the only way to get it as low as he wanted and for them to remain captive
was to use some thing apart from 1600 springs. So what happens is that the
progressive part of the spring that should make for a nice ride in a modern
small hatch back is pushed flat, ie the rings of the spring are on top of
each other, ie coil bind in the progressive section, Then all thats left is
the contant rate part, which is much much harder. I think the springs are
the ones that are ment to be in the rear of the laser. So effectively i
have constant rate spring, and let me tell you that it's harder than hard!
If some on recommend this i would be very cautious. It can work, but the
springs would have to be from a heavier car so that the progressive part
doesnt become coil bound.
