mmm yeah... in the last 7 days i have recieved 7 emails with the same
virus, some W32 Klenz.
I have worked out that it scans websites for email addresses and the
like. If you get emails like this, even if it looks legit, dont open
them. probably the most obvious giveaway is that you cant remember
sending the email... another giveaway I have found in outlook is that
the attachments has two values for the size (eg. Email name [34.5kb]
[1kb]) showing the attachment has been tampered with.

best bet is to not open any attachments unless you know the person
and/or check the file extension first...ie don't open .exe .scr etc...
at the same time html opens up a tonne of holes in OE.......

It's not that people send them to the list on purpose...
The virus sends itself to the list straight from your address book The
trick is to NOT use Outlook express or outlook.. try netscape mail I can
open the virus infected messages without them infecting my computer...
I have just manually updated the Virus definitions on the mailserver so
as long as Norton's doing it's job, hopefully we won't get any more for
a while (at least until some bas$%ad writes a new virus) Cya James
