As long as u clean the head reeeaaalllly well of all gasket and crap i think it should be ok, i did mine like that after the gasket was on it for 2 years, didnt have it shaved and its alright as far as i know!
Maybe someone will tell u differently tho, its a bit dodge but should be fine.
