Terry, Does the name Dave Jorgensen ring a bell? He had a quick little 1200 in 1975-6.

I actually had 2 1200's and ran the A14GX with stock SU's in the road car and twin 40DCOE with factory headers in the rally car. They are very good engines and in those days performed in the 1200 as well as most 1600's with worked L16's much to the displeasure of their owners. The twin DCOE engine was noticeably quicker than the SU version. We did things like fit a A12GX head that was hand ported (~11:1CR) and ran avgas for more HP but reliability did suffer some what, we didn't understand too much about dizzy mods though so things were a bit rattly at times in very hot weather. I hope you've got good brakes as stopping these quick little Dattos was always interesting back then. regards Terry -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Dale Stevenson Sent: Saturday, 15 June 2002 2:29 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Carbs James Sorry I forgot to mention that the engine has a GX head, twin valve springs and cam. Anyone else verify or prove me wrong (its just what i was told). > > James > > _____________________________________________________________ > Get Your free Ozdat Email Account > ---> http://www.ozdat.com > > _____________________________________________________________ > Promote your group and strengthen ties to your members with [EMAIL PROTECTED] by Everyone.net http://www.everyone.net/?btn=tag > --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
