rewind, rewind, rewind, my mistake again........ the volume of the OLD
piston dish was 18 cc (machined) the NEW piston has 13 cc.
with the old piston in block total volume , with piston at tdc, and fluid
level with top of block was 35 cc.

what I done wrong was to add the difference 5cc, which made it 40 cc,
instead of TAKING it away, which would make it 30 cc.
i worked it out again and get 7.44 : 1 comp.
i also have a 2mm thick ( 80 thou) copper head gasket.

anybody wanna double check?
mark k
