Errol,
I gather this monster datto L18 is supposed to be PRC legal? How do they get
away with installing a head spacer, they way I understand it that would be
illegal, is this not the case? I see you mention that was the original engine,
do you know what this is being replaced with?

That would be a sick project though! Torque monster 2.4 rally engine! Just bolt
on a 1" head spacer, sleeve the block to 89mm, line bore the main's and
clearance the block and crank to drop in a Z24 96mm crank, custom 160.3mm rods
and custom 25mm pin height forgies. 1.67 rod/stroke ratio 0.55mach index
designed head fully efi... Ooh tempting, if head spacers are legal!

Was there ever any L series 4 valve heads made that you could legally run on an
engine like this? If so build yourself an FJ24 L series then! :)) Can you
imagine that in a PRC legal sub 900kg datto?! I can. You might need some lead
ballast in the floor to bring it up to the minimum weight for a 2.4L though! :P

Cheers,
Craig.
