If there's a next time, take rego numbers as soon as they look "sus" and report it to 000 if you have mobile phone on board. You will be surprised how quickly the Police can get to the scene to spoil their fun, and your trauma, around town. The cops are getting lots more "live" info on highway hooligan's cars through this method of reporting.
A policemen friend of mine recently got 3 reports within 3 minutes of one car speeding and weaving through traffic on a freeway.
