Title: RE: Stolen Car

I used to rely on the 'the wont steal this cause its too shit' but last year my shitty old XF Falcon was stolen. It looked crap, with heaps of dents and stuff. I worked all night and left it parked in a laneway, so I think it was just stolen cause it was there. Anyway, my girlfriend was furious that someone had stolen it. It was the last day I was to drive it as the datto was booked in to be regoed at vicroads the next day. She got all fired up and went looking for it. AND FOUND IT!!!!!!

About 5 streets from work it was dumped, the bastards had already crashed it into something, and when she found it workers in the house it was dumped by were looting it for our baby cot, which was in the back seat. The only plus about the whole deal was that they didn't steal my stereo as the face was detached and they never looked into the boot to find the stacker.

I now have a steering lock on the datto. Like someone said, if they really want it they will take it. But it would have stopped the dickheads that took my car just for a laugh.

I used to have a stock 89 Pulsar with cheap EXA alloy wheels.  I left it
unlocked everywhere and no one even looked at it.  As soon as you add nice
stuff like wheels/stereo/motor the mongrels will steal anything.  On the
other hand I had an old 10 speed push bike stolen from me twice, I saw it
being ridden around weeks after and stole it back each time...  first from
school and then from where I lived in Surfers...  they took the lock and
    all!!  That bike was cursed.
