hey listers

i was chatting to a mate of mine who also happens to be a dato
enthusiast and he said that he went out to see a 1600 which was supposed
to be a mint stocker from some grandpa or something.

when he was looking at it the guy (who apparently was aged considerably)
was letting on that the car was in perfect stock condition and he has
had it since new - no bog - original paint - etc. now my mate is no
fool. he spotted what he thought was bog and the guy said 'no no there
is no bog'. he then got a magnet to prove his point (the magnet didnt
stick)

upon an even closer inspection he noticed that there was a rather large
piece of metal underneath which had been seam welded. now... if my
friend wasnt so knowledgable and pesky he could have bought a car which
isnt all its cracked up to be.

now pretty much the warning is to watch out for people who claim their
cars are mint as stockers and are the first owners. these days its
pretty easy to fix a car up to look mint and it is even easier to
believe people... this case seems pretty crazy - i couldnt believe it!
but my friend isnt the type to shit other people so believe it guys, and
watch out.
