The fuel gauge sender normally fits into the central hole in the rear of
the tank, with a single yellow wire for the signal to the gauge in the
dash. The fuel feed and return lines are at the front on the drivers
side. Is your tank setup with feed and return lines where the sender
usually is? If so it may be setup like that to house larger hose barbs
- maybe something like 3/8"? The standard feed is 1/4" and the standard
return is 5/16", and you can't swap them around for more flow because
the 5/16" fitting is located above the 1/4" one, so if you suck through
the 5/16" fitting with low fuel level you'll just get air.
