Yep it is a problem cos the engine doesn't kick over you can hear the click
from the soleniod when you turn the key to the start position and that is
all you get, the motor doesn't turn over all and I even tried the battery
out of the ET which is the size normally used for an L20 (350 - 400 CCA)and
brand new. When I read the voltage across the battery it is basicly the same
as what I'm getting at the starter solonoid, the drop is happening between
the top bolt and bolt below that on the starter.
I had the starter tested by Gibbs a week ago and they said it was fine but
the test isn't conclusive as it doesn't test it underload, just makes sure
it spins up and the solonoid operates correctly
Anybody have any suggestions

hi, are u having problems ? if not dont worry about it.
is it just a observation u made?
i dont know what condition your battery is in, but starter motors draw a
couple of hundred amps to turn over under load.
the voltage shouldnt really be that low when cranking .
try reading the voltage ACROSS the battery and see what voltage u get
then..
