I Picked Up My Skyline Silhouette Series II for a Small price of $4095

This is a 1989 5spd Man, Pwr Steer, Air Con, blah blah, Nothing special. The
Clock Say's 350,000K but i have my doubts as the instramentation is a bit
sus. ie oil batt fuel. Lucky the Computer is there as i can rely on it.
Stock as a rock other than the stiffened suspension, and 3 spoke mags. (not
my choice but suite the car)

Goes Very Well, But a NOTICE to anyone After the Skylines (R31 series I &
II) take the car for a spin in a zone where you can do at least 80-90km's
and listen for any bearing / diff noise, the R31 where known for the Weak
Gear Teeth. But I would have to say i agree with Chris, and all skyline's
are different to drive. the Silhouette is the pick with the LSD and if i'm
not mistaken you should be able to find the TI with LSD. as for the GX and
GXE range, I would tend to steer away from them, as these weren't completely
set up and you'll find that they have had a fairly hard trot.

On an avg. in Fuel Econ. stock i get just under 660km's per tank 65L you can
do the math.

I travel a fair bit between QLD and NSW, and on my last trip i made it from
Redcliffe to Narrabri still with 6L in the Tank sitting on 115-120km/h

I was quite amazed at the Econ. as i have 2 Pintara's and they push about
728Km per tank with i think about 2L left. for the 4cyl 2L i think is a
fairly econ. car, although the 2L standard is a bit slugish. but once your
going there's nothing that can stop the pintara's. and yeah the wagon's
handle fairly good up at the 175km/h stocko.

Well enough rambling i'm off to bed.

Ashley.
