You could use a Z20 gasket set on a Z18, but you'd have to modify the timing cover gaskets to compensate for the difference in block height. There's 3 different heights for L/Z blocks:
L13/L14/L16/L18(W)/Z18 207.85mm L20b/Z20/Z22 227.45mm Z24 247.45mm All Z heads are suppsoed to be identical, except Errol has found a couple which have different bolt spacing on the exhaust manifold.
