That's not the correct way to hook it up either, but I guess it's one way of
keeping your twin SU slides lubricated.

im pretty sure u cant block it off, best thing to do is to run it to ya air
box/filter (what carbs you got?) or inlet manifold, that'd tke care of it.
Mine just has a hose running from the metal pipe (from the hole) which
points at the opening to my airbox (pretty simple, but hey it works) on my
twin SU's ( i have the orginal big ugly orange airbox for now :( ).
