Offset makes a big difference on a stock height 1200 so I'd go for the same offset os stock 12" rims to be safe. I fitted some 5.5x13 Enkei minilites with 185/60x13 tyres on my coupe and it handled a lot worse than it did with stock wheels! The same rims are sweet on my 510. On the 1200 they made the car very twitchy and caused it to tramline badly. I'm pretty sure if the car was lowered and the front comber sorted it would be okay though.
