Hi all, i'm in the middle of putting a 240K 5 speed (thanks peter) into my 1600 and i've struck a problem :( The hole for the dowel between the top two bolts of the engine and gearbox both have dowels in them!! The engine one is sticking out about 15mm, and would be easy to take out, except the engine is still in the car so i dont have enough room to yank it out. The gearbox dowel is only sticking out about 2 or 3 mm so this is bloody hard to grip too..... any ideas?? I need one of the dowels out but neither of them are easy, does anyone have a trick to getting these out, or any suggestions at all??? Thanks heaps, Mark.
