Well, don't let the auto sparkies take it away and give you an '85 skyline one in exchange - like they did to me. I drilled the bracket holes out to fit the FJ bolts but then the adjuster mount didn't line up. In end the shop swapped my front and back alt. casings over to the recond. skyline unit. So be sure to keep the old one. On www.fj20.com forums a guy said an easy conversion was a Bosche XF alternator.
