hi,  i just  looked at my  dizzy  (2:41 am.....in the morning) and it has a green wire  which goes to neg of coil,  and a pink one which goes to  positive of coil.

but  if you take the cover of  the ign module,   you will see  4 spade terminals pointing towards you ,  that come  of the module.

hold the dizzy with the module down, and the rotor button  bit up top, and    LEFT TO RIGHT the connections are:

  signal-signal-positive-negative

the  two  signal  connections  go to the pickup which is in the  dizzy. and the other  connections go to the pos and neg of coil.

do not use a ballast resister,    where the  wire goes from the  dizzy to the positive of coil , have  full battery voltage  to this connection when the engine is cranking over and when the engine is running and/or   the key is in the   ON position.
you will have to use a coil that came  with the dizzy, or buy a coil suitable.

the negative  wire  is actually switched  on/off to create the spark,  ,  if the  positive was switched on/off, the coil will take longer to produce the spark,  but since the positive  is already connected up, and the neg side  is switched it over comes this problem,,...

Subject: Series II bluebird dizzy

G'day all

Just fitting a series II bluebird dizzy to the L20, and im not sure about ther wiring.

This one has a solid blue wire and a black wire with white tracer.  Im assuming that the blue goes to the positive of the coil and the other to the negative? Can some one confirm that for me?

Thanks

Chris S
