Yeah I have heard about these centrifugally actuated
rev limiters, never seen one though. I Always assumed it was
an integral part of the distributor, but you say Bob on the VW that it's
part of the rotor button? That seems like an easy stick-on option.
My L20B dizzy has been regraphed to suit the engine so I want to keep it.
The VW or Triumph rotor thing would probably have to be modified to suit
as I doubt there is a similar (aftermarket?) part avail. for the Nissan
dizzy.
I am disciplined with my right foot but the fear of over-revving and lashpad
flicking
is mainly because this is my first lightened flywheel installation. The
flywheel is the lightest
I have ever seen. The only steel in it is the ring gear and the clutch plate
wear surface, the rest is aluminium. Very purty, I've had it hung on the
wall
like a peice of modern art since I bought the motor - 'tis a fine peice of
engineering. ;-)
