i only took the bottom coil off....lowered the car like 15mm....i really dont think it 
is that much of a biggy

Why Cut the springs? yeah... you are asking for trouble. especially when you can get 
them compressed. My mate got his 1200 front springs compressed for $50 each. another 
way of keeping the springs captive is getting the main rod in your shock cut and re 
machineing the thread for the end bolt on. so your shocks can't expand and release the 
spring.
