The length of the system might be effecting it.You may need to change the
size of the first restriction. In cabin systems work well and are better than
ungated engine bay type sytems as when setup properly they can virtually
eliminate wastegate creep.I use an adjustable first restriction(small ball
valve) and then an adjustable needle valve in the cabin and vented it back
to the engine bay.I played with inline volumes and different lengths of hose
until i got a slight boost spike(1psi).This method usually sees boost at
lower rpm and comes on stronger as the wastegate isnt opening early.I would
recomend changing to a 15 psi actuator if you intend on running 15psi or
more all the time.Ive seen many turbos with 7psi actuators running bleed
systems set to 15psi max with the wastegate stating to open at 5psi on the
dyno. One system i played with last week had a gated bleed valve with a 7psi
actuator and the exhaust backpressure was openning the wastegate fully at 10
psi.The guy didnt believe me and thought the gated bleed valve was faulty so
i disconnected the actuator to prove a point.
