Jim, You could try it - my cousin ran twin Hitachis on a L20B in a Bluebird S1 for a while - didn't do much down low or up really high, but it was very sweet on the highway. Someone on this list must have done that already, be interesting to hear some input.

What cam would be suitable to get a l18 purring for a street car... but I want it to have some top end grunt too! -Jimbo -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:membersozdat_owner@;datascribe.com.au] On Behalf Of Terry Rudd Sent: Monday, 11 November 2002 6:07 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: cylinder head replacement cont... I missed a word in the last post i.e. "part" as in number when referring to the B1 & C1 cams - they're supposed to be the same cam so everyone tells us, so why a different part number? who knows? Yep Jim, you've got it for the early L18SSS - the late model Aus 180BSSS was only a trim upgrade only and had a B cam with single downdraft carbie with more pollution gear that you could poke a stick at, some of these engines were a real mixture like high top pistons, SSS twin outlet SSS headers but single carbie. Big port real Japanese L18SSS had B2 cam with Mikunis - these are much the same as the 66 degree rally cam, they're actually 254 degrees total duration on the inlet side which is 63.5 degrees in the same language and go well with twin 40 or 45 DCOE. regards Terry -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:membersozdat_owner@;datascribe.com.au]On Behalf Of james wade Sent: Monday, 11 November 2002 5:32 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: cylinder head replacement cont... Just doing some basic deduction... Considering that a l20B cam is said to be the same as a SSS cam, and the C1 cam is a l20B cam which is said to be the same as the B1 cam... Id say the b1 cam is the SSS cam??? Forgive me if I stuffed up. -Jim -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:membersozdat_owner@;datascribe.com.au] On Behalf Of Andrew Greenbury Sent: Monday, 11 November 2002 10:46 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: cylinder head replacement cont...
