HI Mark,

I'm yet another to suffer at the hands of the ACT rego inspectors. My 1600
should be ready to go over in a couple of months (if I ever find the time to
work on it). Doesn't matter what engine you run they must just think every
1600 driver is a hoon and I'm not really looking forward to putting my 1600
over the pits but it's a battle worth fighting cos even if it takes a couple
of times you will get through.

With my brakeline (using the standard tubing) cos I'm using the stock turbo
on my FJ I used a heat shield sleave, it's a pain to put in place cos you've
got to remove the brake line and fit the sleave and put the line back in
place and bleed the brakes. I haven't put this through rego yet so I can't
say exactly what they would think of it but with the brakeline running so
close to the turbo I atleast wanted minimal protection from the heat cos my
first concern is the safety of my 1600 so then I can fully enjoy thrashing
it!!!!!!!

What did other do with the passenger side brake line on FJ's / SR's with
stock manifolds?????

You can get the sleaves from AutoBarn in belconnen, if you want to check it
out on the car give me a call and we can meet up.
