Apparently they have removed a lot of the carbon content from the steel that causes the problem.The carbon would appear on the surface in spot and is very hard.The rest of the rotor wears down while the hard carbon doesnt and eventually cracks.The pulsating and grinding you feel from these rotors are the hard carbon spots.This is more evident on the slotted and cross drilled rotors as the carbon tends to surface around the slots and holes.There latest rotors are still to expensive though.
