I totally disagree! The bigger the tank the more air you have in storage, hence the less cfm drop, which is very very very important when spraying a car!! Although not so important when running air tools. Another positive with the bigger unit is its cheaper to run (less electricity!)in the long run due the fact that the motor doe not run as much, and it will last you longer for the same!!!
Another reason is that you will have it for years!Hence, you might as well get the best you can get at the time, Again saves you buying another down the road!! I would not go smaller than 50 Litre tank with around 15-17cfm!!!! Its a tad on the overkill side although I have no idea what overkill is!! heheehe NO SERIOUSLY I highly recommend the larger unit!!! And shop around heaps!!! Ask them to through in free stuff E.G air lines etc and a water catch tank, they can only say no! Cheers NAT 12cfm is all you need (for home) tank size not to important ,just means smaller the tank the more the motor runs. 4Hp belt drive ,,,,Dont buy a unit where the motor is part of the compresser... around $1000-1200nz for one worth buying(new) > Hey guys, > > This christmas im looking to treat my self with an > air compressor, and i was wondering what sort of > specs should > i be aiming for.
