Hi Dave,

One thing I am going to try soon on my skyline is modifying the resistance given by the water temperature sensor (as far as I can tell this is the only temperature sensor). Apparently if you can get this right (ie not too much because the computer will go into safety mode) and set it up so it operates during full throttle then you can get more fuel in. Not sure whether i'll use the full throttle switch or some manifold pressure switch as yet though.

I still need to make an exhaust (hence the welder thread on ozdat) and clean up the airbox (removed the mesh filters from the airflow meter today, apparently thats good for 1/3 the restriction in the air intake)

I would be interested in anything you find out about the reprogramming of the ECU as well. I really can't see a chip would do much so to get anybody modifying your computer properly on a dyno it would be updward of $800. You are almost in programmable territory there.

I have to investigate what the GTS skyline is doing to produce nearly 150kw from its engine. Not sure if they use a diffferent computer. I heard there were some intake mods (maybe revised cam).
Have you replaced the cam in your car? That is something I have to investigate so when I get some time away from work.

Anyway, im interested in hearing the mods you have done.

a while back some people were talking about 'reprograming' factory RB30E computers. Can anyone who has any information about tweaking these ECU's please email me off the list as I know it's not datsun related and the list is already clogged up with enough non datsun stuff *coughcoughchargervsfalcontalkcoughcough* hehe
