Does anyone know what the reliability of L20B Series 2 bluey rod bolts is? They are 9mm thick. What sort of sustained revs can they take in racing applications? My 1600 is capable of 8000rpm in 1st/2nd/3rd and has seen 7500 in 4/5th.
I want another 15 sprint meets out of this motor, done 2. I am asking as I dropped an 8mm rod bolt nut in my old L16 a few years ago after a session of big revin' Yee har. My reasoning is big rev, bolt stretches and nut falls off. I have some ARP 9mm rod bolts but don't want to rebuild the motor at the moment.
