Aren't the MR2's rear wheel drive? Hence the name: Mid-engined
Rear-wheel-drive 2-seater.

If the corroll has a 4AC in it then any 4A motor will bolt up to it. The
4AGE is the only one worth while that came in RWD thou, (assuming that
your corrolla is a RWD one. The 4AGZE and 4AGE 20V only ever came in a
FWD format in the corrolla's or MR2's.
There are plently of web sites around with all the info on these motors.
