Subject: Rally update!
A little update for the rally guys and girls and who
ever else!
Competed in the George Woods Rally on Saturday night,
(Pre season rally!!!!!) Good way to dust off the car
and myself.
Plans dont go well, Ny normal Co-Driver broke his
leg(or so he says!) So a friends Co-driver has a go!
BUT THIS IS HIS FIRST EVER GO!!!!!! DAM IT!!!!!!
Anywoo
On the way to the first SStage the spring on the carbs
broke! Quick fix! First penalty!!!YA!!!!Then two
corners in intercom breaks!!! And my car is very very
very loud!!!!!
Get lost 3 times! ya!!... Second last stage before
service, we hear a funny noise and then we spin on the
transport stage!!!!!! SHIT!!!! First thought diffs
gone! double shit! Then I figure it out! The rear
brake caliper bolts come lose and fall out!!! GREAT!
Its getting stuck in the wheel!! So I steal another
bolt from the other side and we crize throught he next
stage til service when we fix it!
Then I realize that our fuel consumption is high! So I
have to buy some fuel off one of the other service
crews!
After all this we are now dead last!!!! 15 cars have
gone past us due to all this! Plus all the penalties!
SO next stage we pass three cars on the stage and the
my Nav-a-guesser gets us lost again! Two cars re-pass
us! SHIT!!!! So theres no wind, heaps of dust! and I'm
just want to go home! hehehe
Pass another 4 cars and then coming up the last
spectator area give it a boot full! I here a HUGE
BANG!
We get stuck in a ditch. Then when we try to move I
hear that bang bang bang !! DAM IT!
Look under the rear, and I've broken the half shaft in
two! NOT HAPPY JANE!! Luckily my crew were there! They
got the trailor, I had a drink or 10! and went home!
