Subject: 71C boxes and the CA18

I've just picked up a "RP71C" (NOT RB71C !!) box from (I think) a VL RB30E
(NA). It was only $77 take it or leave it - so I took a punt and bought it.
I hope to be able to use it behind a CA18DET.

Can modifiy a CA71B bellhousing to fit this gearbox, as per earlier posts
regarding L boxes? Or am I going to need a CA71C (is there such a beast?).

Is this box actually a VL box?

Is the VL RB30E bellhousing pattern common with any other engine family?

Can post pictures if necessary..
