From what I'm told RB's are relatively easy to shoehorn into a R30, a mate of mine who owns City Exhaust in Braddon (he's good too with custom work, the Rotary boys use him a lot) did a RB30-ET out of Gibson Skyline in his spare time in the workshop and didn't have to butcher anything from what I could see. I haven't been for a spin in it but I can imagine it goes pretty well. One thing that was interesting was he didn't have to upgrade the brakes to get his engineers certificate, I guess as his already had 4 discs and they're pretty good.

Another tempting conversion for a R30 would be the SR20DET - the FJ20ET was a very popular engine swap for the C210, so I can't see why a SR wouldn't be a good swap into the R30.

Terry

Hey guys, I realise this is off topic but I also know you guys like your old dattos and nissans, so thought Id give it a shot

First off I guess, my mate is off-loading his R30 hatch pretty cheaply.. go here for info and pics: http://board.performanceforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=67143041

What Im wondering though is, Im guessing its got an L24 in it.. might be a bit average, but what options have I got to do to this engine ?  Ive heard L24 turbo setups are popular ?  Would something like that be relatively easy/cheap/reliable ?  Of course, Ive also got this RB20det thing going on in the back of my mind.. hmm.  Anyone know of any R30s floating around with an RB20 in it ?

Thanks for the pointers guys.. it seems like such a waste to just get rid of it like that..

Jeremy
