Gday
everyone
I thought I would
pass on my experiences with bringing in books as there has been a lot of talk
about it. I have purchased books from Britain and US over the last 3
years, probably about 25 books in total.
It has always been
the case for me that buying the books from overseas is cheaper than in Australia
(unfortunately).
Go to a reputable
site such as Amazon, and get a currency converter.
Calculate the cost
of purchase PLUS postage, one good thing about Amazon is they will post numerous
books in one parcel saving you $$$. Compare the cost to purchase and
postage in Australia. You will find in most cases (not all) it is
substantially cheaper and availibility is greater. Last year I actually
saved about $40AUS buying books on raising cattle in australia, from a US
site.
Remember the golden
rule, calculate the cost in AUS$ and monitor your credit card to ensure you
aren't ripped off or a shipping error is made. Some sites count one mouse
click as an order so mistaken multiple clicks buys multiple
copies.
I would like to buy
from an Australian site, but I prefer to save my hard earned
$
Regards
Brad
