Tapetts get tight. Noises only come after the damage is done when valves are
burnt etc.

Subject: valve seat recession

hey all,
what's the signs that you're getting valve seat recession? are there any
indicative noises, like pinging or something? I know there's supposed to be
a loss of compression, but is there anything that'll let you know before it
gets to that stage?
thanx all
