Ozdatters,
Oh yeah I forgot, it's on the 12th & 13th
April, costs $195 per person ($390 total including $200 refundable entry
form deposit if over-subscribed) and you and the co-driver need a CAMS 2S
or higher competition license, a current drivers licence, a good quality helmet
and the car needs to be roadworthy, have a 2kg or 2 x 1kg fire extinguisher
and an approved First Aid Kit (they can supply).
If you don't think your Datsun stands a chance,
think again!
Last year the outright winner was a 1971
Datsun 240Z with a 2.8 in it, same as handicap winner and
first and second Team Prizes went to the same and similar cars.
The field included Porsches, Nissan GTRs, Pulsar
GtiRs, Honda S2000's, Subaru WRX's and STi 's, a Ferrari 360 Modena, Mitsubishi
Evo VII, Lotus Elise, Escort twin-cams, Nissan Sileighty, 180SX and 200SX,
Mazda RX7 Turbos, BMW M3's and more. Basically just about every car I would want
in my "dream garage"....;-)
Some of the events will allow spectators, others
not, so check it out even if you don't compete.
Cheers,
Rob P
