Dominic,
A guy i know has been using the GTiR's for tarmac rallies for about 10 years. He has 3 of them and also uses them for advanced driving and cams license testing. His fast one would have to be the most successful tarmc rally setup GTiR in the country. He has won countless events in it including hill climbs, street sprints, motorkhanas, circut races and drags. It is very competitive against highly modified STI's and EVO's.It has had a lot of work done to it including a fully preped motor with a 500hp turbo running over 1.5bar boost controlled by an Autronic setup with anti lag.It has mechanical diffs allround with huge AP rotors and calipers on ally hats.It has proflex coilovers with hollow chromemolly blade adjustable sway bars and fully adjustable rose jointed suspension. The roll cage is like a spiders web. This car has had a lot of money spent on it and has had years of developement work gone into it.The car is reasonably quick on the tight motorkhanas but does have a tendency to push the front but no worse than the other AWD cars.On high speed track work it really does fly and he seems to win most of fast events although i think his lemans and bathurst experience helps at warp speeds. He also has a GT2,GT3,EVO7,S2000 and a 935/962 lemans spec porsche. Here's a pics of one of the GTiR's.
