Best 2.4 N/A grunter I have heard of had 135 Kw at wheels and 257n/m (190 ft/lb) from 4500 to 6500 flat as a gun barrel. I believe this was the Portman grunter from his "short" bluebird. Even with that performance it is mathematically impossible to beat the R1. F=ma : ) In first gear with that amount of torque available for acceleration you would get 1.24g's in first gear and its all down hill from there. The R1 should be able to pull that acceleration in 3rd gear.

I would suggest running some 1/4 mile times and getting some hp figures before you thinking about taking on a R1.Somewhere around the 500rwhp should be enough combined with a 4 link and some 26" slicks. This will get you close to what a bog stock R1 is capable of in a straight line.To get this sort of power from a normally aspirated L series is joke.Do you take us for fools.Your forgetting that some of us have actually driven 1600's that really do have some power so we know what a fast datsun is capable of. --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
