cutting a allen key with a metal cutting wheel on a angle grinder will only heat up a very small part of it ,and it will not afect the way it works. I've snapped head bolt on old engine undoning them but never my 10mm.
Buying one can be fun ,short ones are easy but long ones seam hard to find.
