I can so agree with you on the BDA and the 1600s barking, i didnt get to see them as they were coming past the flying finish just too quick on the Mitsubishi stage (tarmac stage), plus couldnt really watch them as i had to press the button for their times anyway... Buyt must say, i think quickest car through us was definately the HT Monaro, that thing was quick and loud!!!

Micko,

Got a bit of a bum steer. I don't think they were group Gs but more likely
like the PRC which are 1800s taken to near the 2 litre mark. Still went well
though. Saw 3 Dattos. John Spencer was reving the hell out of his and boy it
barks in the forest. I had met one of the other drivers back when I used to
tear through the forests, very tidy when we saw him on the go.

Murray Coote was actually driving an Alfa of some sort. Was only running on
3 cylinders when we saw it.

The Escorts sounded pretty good especially the BDA beast.

Had more fun on the way up around Maleny as tried to follow Jon in the Targa
Terror and couldn't even keep it in sight let alone try to see how the
professionals drive those roads properly. As you said, he knows how to
drive.

Only saw Cameron and didn't see Toby or any others but the spectator
instructions were non existent so they could have been out there somewhere.
We ended up on some secluded corner with the marshalls and it turned out to
be quite good.

Will try and find out some of the results. Cameron may have some as his dad
navigated for John Spencer.

Cheers

Eric
