hey guys
i am putting an sr20det into a 1600 this weekend.
Got a question for you.
My question is about the heater in particular, Firstly I intend to run one
hose around the back of the block to the passengers side and one straight at
the firewall on the drivers side as per the factory 1600 setup. Now some
people have told me I need to cut down the pipe and solder etc. From what i
can tell the pipe which is one the drivers side is already the perfect
length. IE it just needs a hose to run from its termination to the firewall,
about 10cm or less. Is this right?
And the one of the passengers side just needs a right angle hose to run from
its termination to the firewall pipe. SIMPLE!!! or not???
The second question regards the actual rubber hose. The pipe on the engine
has a much larger diameter than the 1600 heater core. Do I run a hose that
decreases in size from the sr20det to the 1600 or what?
