170k's with a trailer and car on it, now that's STUPID! ----- Original Message ----- From: maldat To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, December 11, 2003 6:20 PM Subject: Re: Hp rating of my V8 Nissan
Well I'm all F*&ked up now?. Its heaps faster than a dunny I'll tell ya that,,But they have me in first gear off the mark but only by 1/2 car lengh, then as soon as I hit 2nd they are 3 car lenghs behind and the rest is pure history,, They never want to play again. I think it goes very well for the money I paid,,with cruise control on and coming into hills the car dont slow down at all the feeling is like taking off in a plane sort of thing everyone in the car knows it. Towing a car transporter with dans R32 on the back at 170Kph forgot it was their. Just shows Ya dont belive what you read in books and on the net,,Find out for your self.(and even factory Nissan books,as now showen). Would having the speedo cut out at 185Kph and not even being able to get 5000Rpm in 4th,let alone No way to dyno in 1:1 ratio because of speedo cut out having any means to this BHP reading today? They said it does 80Kph in first gear at 6000Rpm,, I find the engine cuts out at 7500. 100Kph is about 2000Rpm,160Kph is about 3000Rpm in top crusing.speedo cut out happens just as I change into 4th cog, still has overdrive and torque lock to go. They said we used 2nd because thats 50% of 1:1... But it might not be?.which would mean the BHP reading would be more.. My 2 litre sunny has 87.2 KW (117 hp) at the wheels with a real mild street cam. The Nissan eight should be much better than that : ) The real measure is not the KW's though but the torque!!!! These figures are magic !!! Its obvious the engine is a low speed grunter and still holds onto the torque up high. So its 200Bhp at the wheels Isnt 200Bhp a lot more than 270Kw?. Malcolm "OZETA" WOULD BE A GOOD PERSONAL PLATE FOR MY CAR. --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
