If the 1600 was abit heavier it would be easier,
think there is a site ww.vg30.com in the use that has pretty much everything you need to know.

Probably be easier to fit the 1600 to the vg30det.

Dunno how legal it'd be either. Depends on the state I guess. In NSW it'd be
a big no-no.
