Hey there listers, how are we all? I have a query about my gearbox. Now since i put it in, it has been hard to change up and down gears properly, if i go easy on the up change its ok, but easy down, with double clutching, i have to give it a good rev to get it into gear without it crunching. Now to me this says the syncros are shagged. i was told it was a 240k when i got a 1600 2yrs ago, since then a datto nut has told me it was a 260C. now this box came out of a rally car, and i have my suspisions, and was told yesterday by my uncle Peter Roberts, that it had straight cut gears. My question is, i was think that the box was stuffed and should i get it rebuilt, or is this a natural thing for a whiney gearbox/straight cut gears gearbox??? (does that make sense?hehehe)
