it.you are the rite guy to deal with looks like.can you tell me what all i have to do

Just about to make up my exhaust and was wondering if anyone knows whether a
catalytic convertor is necessary? I have an sr20det in my 1600.
If anyone knows an engineer etc that i could call to find out more
information about this i would be very grateful.
