Hi,
I have had this problem for ages now, and discovered that without an earth to the starter motor with the battery in the boot i was geting only 8V ignition (feeding the coils,modules,injectors and computer) when cranking.
I highly recommend that you run an earth to a startor motor bolt, and an earth from that location to the body. I also ran one to the cylinder head.
