the same way ,,,Hes now upto number #9 in 510 land.
and with #9 being a 510SSS ,I havnt seen him
driving it in 3 years

My boyf (in my datto) had a prang with a bullbar assisted suzuki
vitara yesterday, datto 0 - suzuki 1. He's not badly injured but the
datto's pretty much written off. Will post pictures when i get organised.
No insurance means he's going to be working hard to buy me a new one...
Hopefully the other guy will be found at fault so I'll get some money
back. Sad sad day, I loved that car even though she was no show pony or
track star and only looked good from afar. Caused her share of blood,
sweat and tears over the years. Still the most fun to drive but no
longer alive. Although the stereo still works... Anyhoo, time to move on to
another better faster datto (1600 of course). Make up for all the
mistakes second time round. Just maybe she will rise from the ashes.

+0800 Hi all, scored a 180B SSS motor on the weekend. There is no "W" on the
block number so I assume it is an earlier version which means the sump should
fit in a 1600 (510). It came with W53 (big port) head, twin "square-top" SU's
("with provision for an electric choke" - said the seller) plus a blue airbox
but no gearbox. The guy threw in a Bluebird TRX 5-speed and the complete 180B
SSS tacho dash with 200km/h speedo and trip odometer, all for a very cheap
price. Then he showed me an interesting dash mod you can do with your 510 if
you're not interested in keeping it original. Around the dials of your 510 you
will notice a recessed rectangle moulded into the fascia. Cut out this
recessed part and insert a set of 180B SSS dials behind the fascia. F! its
like it was meant to be! The 180B SSS dials I have have a dark blue
background..nice. By the way, how good is the TRX 5-speed box? I assume it's
better or stronger than a Stanza SSS, of which I have 2. Any idea whether the
TRX box has closer ratios than the Stanza SSS? Cheers, Rob P
