Alex,

The only shells that I know of and there are two of them are at Bowning
(other side of Yass) and I had a look at them a while back - too much work
for me but for a ground up resto the '69 was fairly average and the '70 was
below average. They were bought to make one good car out of the two. One of
them has a L20 that has a quad Mukini carby setup - looks like some sort of
home made mani and a very interesting setup.

regards
Terry

Subject: Wanted: 1600 Shell

Howdy,

I realise this may be a long shot but I'm looking for a 1600 shell
preferably not to rusty and with a fairly straight rear end, front end
and doors don't matter. I'm in Canberra if anyone can help. Will
consider whole car if price is right.

Cheers

Alex

Subject: Fj20 something hitting sparkplug

I got this txt msg from mate with an FJ20:

"yet I gotta change spark plug in 4th cyl every 2 weeks, something
hitting
spark plug and smashin the gap"

WTF? I said - now I know he recently had the head off for some
rectification
work on the valves...I wonder if they decked the head to such an extreme
or
something? Surely not cos only thous of inch are coming off to square it
all up
right?!

Maybe they put wrong plugs in, I'm yet to speak directly with him but I
txted
him that spark plug should be NGK BP6ES-11 and also mentioned what
others here
have used e.g. BP7ES (hi HP) or Bosch W8DPX or NGK BPR6EVX.

Mark.
