Showing my age a bit here but used to run the A008R when it was the bees knees... Only problem was it was f'n GREAT on a light car, but really shit on a big car.
Mate of mine put them on a Walkinshaw and they gripped like hell but gave no warning when they let go. Discovered this when I fluffed a heel/toe change a bit on a downchange into a tightening left-hand bend in a damp Black Spur. The only good thing was the back end swung around hard enough that it didn't bite on the gravel on the wrong side of the road and I gathered it back up and off I went again. Probably a tad lucky nobody was coming the other way! And the owner of the car (sitting in the passengers seat next to me) didn't even spill his bourbon :) > Ziggaxtly > > Cheers > Feral Errol > www.Datrats.com.au > > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Brad > Sent: Monday, March 29, 2004 4:13 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: tyres to buy > > > ... yeah but grips like shit to a blanket :) > > > > Great tyre, very soft tread and soft side walls (needs 6 degrees negative > to > > keep the tread aligned with road during heavy cornering), should be good > for > > 1000 km's of quiet driving on the road maybe with ideal tyre conditions.. > > > > Cheers > > Feral Errol > > www.Datrats.com.au > > > > > > > --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
