i had twin 40mm DLHA sidedraught dellortos on my old engine, im no expert but i reckon 45mm is way too big for a stock motor, my engine had head work and a cam and i think the 40's were overkill, as for webber vs dellorto i dunno, prob webber easier to get bits for??? bascially same disigned carby.
with your linkages, grab a cable out of a bluey or something similar, heaps easier and neater than the stock 1600 link system.

Hey fellow denizons of datsun land :)

I may have access to a set of 40mm twin delortos with l-series manifold for
about $300.00
seems ok price to me ?

what do you guys think, i still need to setup linkages but my su linkages
may work ?

anyone got an opinion on weather i should just grab them or wait till I can
afford some webers.
should i hang out for 45mm ???

I take it that they will provide a lot more performance than my current SU's
? (stock L16 engine)

thanks jeff

oh ps i bought 2 x yoko ao321r's on saturday :) havent had a chance to test
drive but they look like slicks with grooves cut in them & they are very
very soft :)
