Hi Rob, The elusive fuel smell is probably coming from one of the tank breather connections, or the filler neck connections. You have to use sealants suitable for fuel usage as various silicones break down with fuel.
I used (newer) filler neck rubber from a 180b, along with a fuel resistant sealant around all joints, and my long standing fuel smell is now non existent. Andrew > Rick, So was it a perfect fit?
